The Hotel

Bratsera Boutique Hotel is a unique hideaway in the heart of Hydra, where maritime history meets refined hospitality. Originally a sponge factory founded by Nickolaos Verveniotis in 1860, the building has been lovingly restored into a historic boutique hotel full of character. Its name, “Bratsera,” refers to the mother-vessels once used by Greek sponge divers, a tribute to the island’s proud seafaring past. Set around a peaceful courtyard with a swimming pool and open-air restaurant, the hotel offers an inviting retreat of understated elegance. Hydra’s charming cobblestone lanes and car-free serenity make it the perfect setting for a truly relaxing escape.
