Castles of the Loire Valley Tour

Visit three major castles of the Loire Valley: Chambord, Chenonceau and Cheverny, Amboise, Chaumont or Blois. The Chambord Château is the largest in the Loire Valley, allegedly built to a design created by Leonardo da Vinci. It's an extravagant structure with massive tours and terraces holding 360 chimneys where the court and the women used to attend the king coming back from hunting. Of all the architectural wonders of Chambord, the most famous is the double-spiral staircase, the core of the building. Your next visit will be at Chenonceau. Castle-bridge built over the River Cher, where the unique beauty of its architecture reflects in the water, nicknamed "le Château des Dames", it owes a large part of its charm to women. You will then have the option of visiting Cheverny, Amboise, Chaumont or Blois. Cheverny is a classical early 17th-century private castle richly furnished, with a beautiful park and a hundred hound dogs in their kennels. Blois is a magnificent royal castle in a major town and illustrates different periods in architecture: it combines a Gothic, a Renaissance and a Classical wing. Saint Emilion Wine & Village Tour

Saint Emilion! This is the heart of Bordeaux’s famous wine region, where many vineyards carry the Saint Emilion AOC designation. Each of these local wineries produces vintages with distinct soil features backed by a long wine-making heritage. Your first stop will be at one of the local grand cru estate wineries. Here, you will get to tour and taste different vintages in a carefully selected domain. The wines are a blend of Merlot grapes with deep, bold flavours, along with other local grape varieties, especially Cabernet Franc and, to a lesser degree, Cabernet Sauvignon. An expert English-speaking guide will reveal all the steps in the wine production process for you, as well as share some historical details about the estate. Following your wine tasting session, enjoy a short guided walking tour of the eponymous village.
