The Hotel

Set on the shores of Lake Lugano, this magnificent 5-star resort is a property of immense charm, the 5-star Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola is set within a private, subtropical park. The majestic palace, formerly the property of a noble Russian family, converted into a hotel in 1885. All the rooms and suites face south and provide wonderful views of the park or lake. A private beach with a lakeside patio, an indoor pool, and a clay tennis court are all available. The two gourmet restaurants, Le Relais and Gallery Arté al Lago, as well as the La Rucola, provide Mediterranean cuisine made with fresh seasonal ingredients and wines from the well-stocked cellar. Within the hotel, are collections of artworks from all around the world. Nearby are many cafés, shops, and restaurants.
