The Hotel

The Roma hotel, a historic hotel in Syracuse, is housed in an ancient late 19th century building between the Cathedral and the Archbishopric and overlooks Piazza Minerva, which continues along Piazza Duomo along the ancient Doric columns of the Temple, and the most central street of Syracuse, Via Roma. Inside it has a strong Sicilian character, with the same limestone used for Greek temples and Baroque palaces, the traditional ‘secret’ courtyards inherited from Arab architecture, the small roof garden, the balconies present in all the rooms, the beautiful tuff dammuso vaults of the restaurant. Finely furnished, the rooms and suites of the Hotel Roma in Ortigia place their identity and diversity in the most sought-after details. A land to be discovered also from a culinary point of view: typical dishes that amaze for the simplicity of the ingredients but also for the abundant variety of flavours and aromas that are rooted in the tradition of Greek and Middle Eastern culture.
