The Hotel

The Pestana Fisherman Village – Boutique Hotel is located in the picturesque historic centre of Câmara de Lobos town, in one of the main streets, close to the entertainment and commerce that is characteristic of this location. It is surrounded by the sea and protected by the hillsides of banana plantations. The 42-room hotel is located in two buildings where a new wing is included, now restored, the original dimensions and features of its architecture have been maintained, contrasting with a light and functional style of decor. The rooms are decorated in light tones, such as white and beige, contrasting with some decorative elements such as the sofas in dark blue. Of particular note are the headrests that display a very special letter, an invitation written by Ernest Hemingway in 1947. Comfortable and contemporary, these rooms are enhanced by the breathtaking landscape that, by opening the white painted windows, you can appreciate the picture postcard view of the blue of the sea punctuated by the decorative roofs of the town’s typical houses, or the green of the banana plantations. The Pestana Fisherman Village is located only 8 kilometres from Funchal and 25 kilometres from the airport.
