The Hotel

COMO Castello del Nero an authentic XII century castle, is a 5 star hotel located in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, in the heart of the Chianti wine region. Complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the center of Florence or Siena at scheduled times is available all year round. The 50 rooms and suites are unique and all offer the services and comforts of the most luxurious hotels. The interiors have been softly re-designed by Paola Navone—who has a long legacy with COMO. Navone has introduced a lighter, more modern ‘COMO’ aesthetic, to complement and enhance the historic bones of the Castello without interfering with its distinctly Italian vernacular. The hotel features the Michelin starred La Torre Restaurant and La Taverna Tuscan Restaurant, while during summer guests can enjoy lunch and dinner on the terrace or by the pool. The COMO Shambhala Retreat facilities includes a state-of-the-art gym and thermal suites which give you access to a gentle sauna, an aromatic steam room, a heated Vitality pool and an invigorating ice fountain. The relaxation area offers panoramic views across the surrounding vineyards and olive groves.
