The Hotel

Hotel Britania Art Deco is a genuine Art Deco boutique hotel in the historic center of Lisbon. The hotel is part of a project by Cassiano Branco, the illustrious Portuguese modernist architect, and it’s located on a quiet street, right alongside the exclusive Avenida da Liberdade. It’s the only hotel to remain intact until today, this boutique hotel records the glamour of the 1940’s. Everything about its design strives to reawaken the spirit of the unit without losing its original soul. The 33 spacious rooms conserve ample dimensions. The warm colours contrast with the elegant lines of the furniture and the luster light fittings. The recovery of the whole building is exemplary as is the case of the paintings in the bar alluding to the Portuguese overseas empire.
