The Hotel

The Hideout, nestled in the hamlet of Shell at the foothills of The Big Horn Mountains, offers an upscale, all-inclusive Western riding and horsemanship experience. Located an hour east of Cody and two hours from Yellowstone’s East Entrance, this intimate guest ranch hosts about 25 guests weekly for a 6-night stay. With a focus on riding and horsemanship, The Hideout provides a variety of terrain from mountain tops to alpine forests, ensuring diverse and uncrowded trails. Guests enjoy quality hospitality, including a well-maintained, comfortable lodging, and healthy, home-cooked meals catering to various diets. Non-riding activities include trap shooting, archery, biking, hiking, and a heated lap pool. Daily routines feature all-day rides with trailhead lunches, evening Western-style dinners with drinks, and personal engagement with staff and owners, ensuring a nearly perfect riding and equestrian experience.
